Driving to Hamilton is the most common method of transportation. Please note, that if you decide to drive you are likely to encounter heavy traffic when travelling through the Greater Toronto Area. Below, we have outlined one way to get to the Four Points by Sheridan hotel from Ottawa. However, we suggest using a GPS for more accurate directions.

    Take the 416 S to the 401 W.

    Stay on the 401 W (past Toronto) until exit 352 to merge onto ON-427 S.

    Merge on the Queen Elizabeth Way (QEW) toward Hamilton.

    Take exit 88 for Regional Rd 20 S toward Centennial Pkwy.

    The hotel will be on your right.

Trains

This is probably the most scenic and comfortable way to get to Hamilton. Passenger rail service is frequently available from Ottawa and Montreal to get to Hamilton. Please visit the VIA rail website for more information. Below, we have outlined one way to get to the Four Points by Sheridan hotel by VIA train.

    Take the VIA train to Union Station (Toronto).

    Travel through Union Station to the Go Train Platform.

    Take the Lakeshore W train to Hamilton, West Harbour.

    Take a taxi from the station to your hotel.

Planes

Flying to Hamilton is not a very common method of transportation, but in case it’s how you’re coming to our wedding we have you covered!

Most flights don’t touch down in Hamilton, but they do land at Pearson Airport in Toronto. Once you touch down, you have a couple different options to get to Hamilton, detailed below:

  • Take a car service from the airport to your hotel. This is usually a flat rate cost of about $120 and takes about 1 hour.

  • Take the UP Express from the airport to Union Station in downtown Toronto. From there, follow the directions in “Trains” above (step 2 onward).
